Matthew Meyers concentrates his practice in commercial litigation with an emphasis on complex construction defects and real estate disputes. Matthew is a member of Herrick's Community Association Practice Group and represents cooperatives, condominiums and homeowners associations in New Jersey. Matthew was recognized in the 2012 edition of New Jersey Monthly's Super Lawyers Section, "Top Lawyers in New Jersey" in the area of construction litigation.
Matthew has extensive trial experience in state and federal courts representing homeowner associations and condominium associations in all aspects of complex litigation. Matthew also counsels his clients through arbitrations, mediations and appeals.
Matthew has settled nearly $50 million in claims on behalf of several condominium associations over the last five years including, but not limited to, the following representative matters:
Mr. Meyers is a frequent speaker on topics related to construction law. In 2010, he was a lead speaker at several of the Association of Owners and Developers meetings, speaking about representing associations and the plaintiff's perspective when an association is faced with construction defects left behind by the developer and subcontractor. Matthew's recent speaking engagements include the 2011 Community Associations Institute Education Series on the topic of mold remediation issues and a 2011 NJICLE seminar on construction defects.
Matthew has been recognized numerous times by Thompson Reuters' SuperLawyers, which lists lawyers who have acheived a high degree of professional acheivement.
