Brian brings his experience as a partner in Herrick's Trusts & Estates group and his background as a Certified Public Accountant to his law practice, which focuses on domestic and international estate planning, creditor protection through the use of foreign and domestic asset protection trusts, wealth preservation, life insurance planning, protective trusts for children and grandchildren (against creditors, estate taxes, and division in the event of a divorce), business succession planning and trust and estate administration.
In addition, Brian negotiates, prepares, and advises his clients on prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, providing them with strong protection in the event of a divorce. He has experience handling estate litigation and will contest cases on behalf of his clients.
Brian represents high net worth individuals, including well-known sports figures, entertainers, business owners, and wealthy families. He also works with trusted client advisors such as sports agents, accountants, bankers, insurance agents, and financial advisors and assists them in finding ways to better serve their clients.
Brian has been published in the New York Law Journal and the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal, as well as Herrick's monthly Tax Alerts. He has also been interviewed by CNN, CNBC.com, Accounting Web and Financial Advisor Magazine regarding estate planning and business succession planning for high net worth individuals, small business owners, and their families.
