This workshop focused on timely issues confronting retail borrowers in this challenging market, and served to help borrowers understand how to operate with multiple parties partaking in the process.

Herrick hosted the seminar “Real Estate Investment in Israel: Political and Economic Considerations,” organized by FIABCI, the world’s largest international real estate member organization. The event featured keynote speeches from Zalman Shoval, former Israeli ambassador to the U.S. (1990-93, 1998-2000), and Shlomo Grofman, a prominent Israeli real estate investor—both of whom are principals in FAIRE, a fund which invests in and develops real estate in Israel. This event is open to FAIBCI members, only by invitation.
Post Zoning: Alternative Forms of Public Land Use Controls

Mitch will join New York City Councilman Brad Lander; Vicki Been, Director of NYU’s Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy; and land use law professors from Notre Dame, Columbia, Dartmouth and the University of California in a lively discussion at Brooklyn Law’s Subotnick Center in Downtown Brooklyn.
