GMA Litigation Conference 2013

Ron Levine was a speaker at the GMA’s Food Litigation Conference on February 21, 2013. The GMA is a trade association of the food industry which represents the world’s largest branded food, beverage and consumer product companies. Ron spoke on valuing settlements. This program provided essential information which will be of assistance in valuing class action litigations. What is the “going rate” for settlements? What are the “packages” counsel have been putting together to reach settlement agreements with plaintiffs’ attorneys?

While the goal of settlement negotiation is clear -- arriving at the best possible outcome for the client -- the rules of the game are not as clear. Berle Professor of Law and Director of the Center on Corporate Governance at Columbia Law School. Professor Coffee spoke at Herrick, Feinstein LLP on Thursday, October 11, 2012. Professor Coffee is listed by the National Law Journal as one of "The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in the United States” and is a recognized authority on white collar crime and securities industry regulation. The event took place from 6:15PM-8PM.
