The painting had been split into segments, with The Hague owning one segment, before being reunited by restorers in 1996, and the settlement allows the painting to remain as one work.

She also announced that she has entered into an agreement with the Dutch government in which it acquired four important paintings from the restituted Goudstikker Collection for the Dutch State.
