Darlene Fairman and Michelle Bergeron Spell spoke at The Next Generation Philanthropy Community’s event, which educated on the Anti-Defamation League’s work in advocating and supporting Holocaust survivors and how Herrick, Feinstein LLP seeks justice through art and the law. Darlene Fairman spoke on, “Recovering Stolen Treasures: Art Looted by the Nazis during the Holocaust.” Michelle Bergeron Spell spoke on, “Art and Transfer Tax Planning.” The event took place from 7PM-8:30PM at Herrick, Feinstein LLP.

Fairman joined experts from the bench, bar, academia, art galleries, insurance agencies, art consultants, government and non-profit organizations in examining the most relevant issues in today's art world. She, specifically, participated in a panel discussing issues relating to antiquities and other cultural property. The event took place on November 16, 2012 from 8:45AM-5PM.

Herrick hosted the showing of excerpts from highly acclaimed documentary “Elusive Justice: The Search for Nazi War Criminals” that was shown recently on PBS and in which Liz Holtzman appears. The film was recently named one of the year’s Two Best TV Documentaries by the Wall Street Journal. After the excerpt, there was a panel discussion with Liz Holtzman, Eli Rosenbaum, who heads the Department of Justice’s Nazi hunting effort, and Film Maker Jonathan Silvers.
